Between-Patient Environmental Disinfection
CDC guidance specifically addresses disinfection of the patient zone between patients. We clean and disinfect treatment chairs, adjacent surfaces, and all items within the patient zone after each patient using EPA-registered healthcare disinfectants applied to required contact times.
End-of-Day Terminal Cleaning
At the close of each treatment day, we perform a thorough terminal clean of the entire treatment area — floors, stations, equipment exteriors, countertops, and high-touch surfaces — to reset the facility for the next day's patients.
External Machine Surfaces
Dialysis machine exteriors are high-risk surfaces that require careful attention. We clean and disinfect external machine surfaces using EPA-registered products appropriate for the equipment, following manufacturer guidance and facility protocols.
Treatment Chairs & Stations
Each treatment station — chair, armrests, side tables, and adjacent equipment — is cleaned and disinfected between every patient. Station turnover is documented to support your infection control program and CMS survey readiness.
Floors & Patient Zones
Floors within the patient zone are cleaned and disinfected between patients and at end of day. We use EPA-registered disinfectants appropriate for hard floor surfaces, applied with proper technique to avoid cross-contamination between stations.
High-Touch Surfaces
Door handles, light switches, nurse call buttons, supply cart handles, and other high-touch surfaces throughout the facility receive regular disinfection throughout the treatment day and as part of terminal cleaning.
Blood & Body Fluid Response
Our staff are trained in bloodborne pathogen protocols and proper response to blood and body fluid exposures. We carry appropriate PPE and EPA-registered disinfectants with bloodborne pathogen claims for immediate response when needed.
